it sounds really good but it is a bit rushed
Hey Jude, I'mma gonna reassure you in your time of need, but I've got places to be, so I'mma do it really quickly.
You CUT half the song out. But, what was there sounded good....
Besides the original Canadian Brass performance, this is the best I've heard the piece played.
Stride was a rag-based genre that took Joplin's, Stark's, Bowman's, etc ideas and swung them. There's no problem with a little swing in the tempo.
Its just because in this tempo you cant play a shuffle on the piano - but it would sound a lot better.

Originally meant for piano, yes, but good arrangements work well. Problem is avoiding use of too much swing. Listen to the piano players - there isn't a lot of real swing used in ragtime. There's a little, in places, and its subtle, but not the overall style to play in.

this is great! i love this song, but i cant help but say that (not to be mean but) this was mean for piano, but the low brass deffinately helps the om-pah bass!
I think it's well done. What did they use for the French horn?
